KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
NZME (NZM) has upgraded its FY25 Operating EBITDA guidance to $59mln–$62mln, up from the prior $57mln–$59mln range. The midpoint represents a +12% lift on FY24’s $54.2mln. CEO Michael Boggs said stronger than expected revenue and continued cost control are driving the improvement, positioning the business well heading into FY26. Full-year results will be reported at the end of February.
Sky (SKT, #48) has secured exclusive New Zealand broadcast rights for the Olympic Games through to 2032 under a renewed agreement with the IOC. The deal covers Milano Cortina 2026, Los Angeles 2028, French Alps 2030, and Brisbane 2032. CEO Sophie Moloney said the partnership reinforces Sky’s role as the home of the Olympics in New Zealand, supported by its expanded free to air reach through Three and ThreeNow. Coverage will be delivered across Sky Sport, Sky Sport Now, Sky Open, Three, and ThreeNow.
South Port (SPN) CEO Nigel Gear will step down in Q2 2026 after eight years in the role and more than 30 years with the company. The Board credited his leadership with strengthening growth and resilience through cargo diversification and infrastructure investment.
