WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The index is down -0.2% leading up to the end of the last session for the week, down -2.6% over the recent five sessions. Year-on-year it gains +7.9%
THE MAIN GAINERS
There were 22 gainers on the board to close out the trading week. Channel Infrastructure (CHI, #28) led the advances, rising +4%, although the stock remains down -2% over the past five days. Year-on-year, CHI is up +48%. Property for Industry (PFI, #27) and Skellerup (SKL, #30) both gained +2%. Property for Industry is up +4% month-on-month and +12% year-on-year, while Skellerup is down -4% for the month but maintains a +12% annual gain. Meridian Energy (MEL, #2) also edged higher, gaining +1%, though it remains down -6% month-on-month and -2% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
Meanwhile, 44 decliners pushed the index to what looks like will be a modest loss for the session. Vulcan Steel (VSL, #29) led the declines, falling -4%, extending its five-day loss to -7% and leaving the stock down -15% year-on-year. Freightways Group (FRW, #18) declined -3%, down -10% month-on-month, though it remains up +20% year-on-year. Napier Port Holdings (NPH, #38) and Precinct Properties (PCT, #20) each slipped -2%. Napier Port is up +15% over the past six months and +31% year-on-year, while Precinct Properties has fallen -15% over the last six months and -4% year-on-year.
