KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ryman Healthcare (RYM, #18) released its 2026 Climate-Related Disclosures, highlighting a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 (market-based) emissions compared with FY25, driven by the commissioning of its Northland solar farm and increased renewable energy procurement in Australia. The third-party-owned solar farm is expected to generate around 32GWh of renewable electricity annually, supplying approximately 60% of Ryman's New Zealand village electricity demand while avoiding an estimated 3,200 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. The retirement village operator also unveiled a refreshed climate strategy, prioritising emissions reduction, stronger energy resilience across its villages, and embedding climate-related considerations into long-term asset management and capital planning to improve operational resilience and support long-term resident care.
Genesis Energy (GNE, #11) announced it will hold its 2026 Annual Shareholder Meeting on Tuesday, 20 October. The company also confirmed that director nominations will close at 5.00pm on Friday, the 28th of August.
