Mortgagee listings rise again after 6 week drop

New Zealand mortgagee sales listings on realestate.co.nz and trademe.co.nz rose for the first time in seven weeks, our mortgagee index shows. The index of mortgagee sales listings on both sites rose slightly to 345. Mortgagee listings represented 0.32% of total listings. The volume of total listings for sale on the two sites fell for the fifth consecutive week, down to 108,551. This was 2.6% lower than the corresponding week a month ago. The volume of rental properties listed on the sites fell over the holiday period, recording a third consecutive weekly drop. Our rental index showed a fall from 191.7 in the week beginning December 15, to 176.4 in the week beginning January 5.
