ANZ have increased the annual fees they charge for credit cards.
This rise is across almost all its major cards, increasing from between $5 and $25 per year depending on the card.
Essentially, it removes the old National Bank 'Classic' pricing and brings fees for its cards more into line with other bank card issuers. There have been no changes to the interest rates they charge on credit cards.

Why does anyone bank with Westpac
Probably because ANZ put their credit fees up by $25 p.a.
And they are still lots less than Westpac's...
They are comparing Westpacs hotpoints card with ANZ so the match is ANZ cashback at $60.00 to Westpacs $44.00
Correct.
e.g. ASB's cash back programme is $20p.a. on top of their $24 = $44 = same as Westpac's hotpoints.
