Hey does anyone know that banks no longer have to payout cash, any more than a daily limit at an ATM of 2000 NZD I Just tried to get some from BNZ and they said they no longer deal in cash.

All in the name of AML/CTF in spite of cash being legal tender. An alternative would be withdrawing the total sum in smaller allotments at the ATM.

So how is this gonna work if we get an earthquake,  tsunami, fire etc that takes out local infrastructure. How are the local people going to transact
