WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 is little-changed today, up +2.4% over the last five days. For the year-to-date it declined -2.1%, and has risen +10.1% from this time last year.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There are 37 gainers in the market today, the biggest gainer Tourism Holdings (THL, #48) who are up +2%. Over the past month Tourism Holdings declines -16%, down -27% for the year. Meridian Energy (MEL, #2) also gains +2% today, down -2% year-on-year. Turners Automotive Group (TRA, #39) has the same gain at +2%, up +10% over the last month. Over the past six months TRA have seen a massive +40% gain, up +60% year-on-year. Followed by EBOS Group (EBO, #6) who gain +1%, up +5% in the last five day period. From this time last year the company has gained +13%.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
39 stocks are at a loss, Kathmandu Brands (KMD, #50) the biggest decline down -3%. Over the last month Kathmandu's share price gains +4%, down -24% year-on-year. Oceania Healthcare (OCA, #42) is down -1%, declining -16% in the last six month period. Although the losses for those terms, the company's share price gains a healthy +20% year-on-year. Hallenstein Glassons (HLG, #43) also decline -1%, falling -9% for the year-to-date. From this time last year HLG's share price gains +43%. Followed by Auckland International Airport (AIA, #3) who gain +1%, also gaining +1% year-on-year.

Vector (VCT, #11) has launched a strategic review of its fibre business, appointing Barrenjoey Capital Partners to assist. The review may or may not result in a transaction.
Contact Energy (CEN, #7) has appointed Matt Forbes as Chief Financial Officer, following an extensive recruitment process. Forbes, who has been with Contact since 2010, has held the acting CFO role since January and brings deep experience in finance, strategy, and energy sector leadership.
