Here are the key things you need to know about in the NZX markets over the past 24 hours. Changes are as at 3:00 pm and may change when the market closes at 4:45 pm.

WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 dips -0.8% today, largely on a poor analyst reaction to F&P Healthcare's Melbourne investor presentation, extending its six-month decline to -2.5%, though the index remains up +2.5% year-on-year.

THE MAIN GAINERS
Of 39 gainers, SkyCity Entertainment (SKC, #36) leads with a +3% lift, though the stock remains down -30% over the last six months and -37% year-on-year. Sky Network Television (SKT, #48) and Kathmandu (KMD, #50) both rose +2%. Sky added +8% over the past five days and is up +17% for the year. Kathmandu, however, continues to struggle — down -38% in six months and -41% year-on-year. Heartland Group Holdings (HGH, #35) edged up +1%, though remains down -23% over six months and -24% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
There are 44 decliners in the market, led by Gentrack (GTK, #26), which dropped -4% and is now down -6% over the past five days, though still up +1% year-on-year. Oceania Healthcare (OCA, #43) fell -3% and is down -10% for the year. Infratil (IFT, #4) and Channel Infrastructure (CHI, #33) both shed -2%. Infratil is down -5% over the last six months but up +3% year-on-year, while Channel has added +6% over six months and a strong +44% over the past year.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tower Limited (TWR, #41) will remove its multi-policy discount from insurance offerings, citing ongoing complexity and risk of error in applying the benefit accurately. CEO Paul Johnston said the move aligns with Tower’s commitment to fair, transparent, and regulatory-compliant pricing. Despite system upgrades, the company concluded that the risk of inconsistency does not meet its customer service or regulatory standards.
