Kiwibank cuts 6 month and 1 year term deposit rates by 10 basis points

State-owned Kiwibank has cut its six month and one year term deposit rates for deposits over NZ$5,000 by 10 basis points, following changes earlier this week by ASB and RaboDirect.

The rate cuts come after the Reserve Bank's dovish monetary policy statement last week which triggered a move lower in wholesale interest rates.

Kiwibank's new six month deposit rate is now 5.10%, and its one year rate 5.20%.
