Description of trading activities
Napier Port Holdings operates the primary seaport for Hawke’s Bay and the lower North Island, providing marine, cargo handling, and logistics services. It is the region’s gateway for exports and imports, handling containerised freight, bulk cargo, and cruise ships. The company generates revenue from port operations, berthage, pilotage, towage, and related logistics services. Hawke’s Bay Regional Investment Company owns 55%, with the remaining shares publicly traded on the NZX.
CEO profile
Todd joined Napier Port as Chief Executive in 2018, bringing over 25 years’ experience across supply chain, transport, and logistics. He previously led strategic partnerships and new ventures at Kotahi Logistics, driving initiatives such as introducing bigger ships to New Zealand and developing intermodal freight hubs. Todd has also held senior roles with IBM NZ, Toll New Zealand, Sainsbury’s (UK), and Mainfreight.
