CBD apartment goes for $266,000; Remuera home and income fetches $3.371m; quake damaged properties popular at Bayleys auctions

The most expensive home auctioned by Bayleys this week was a house in Westmere which went for $2.2 million, while a do up in Grey Lynn sold for $1.525 million.

On the North Shore a 1970s, two bedroom home unit at Hillcrest which was still in original condition, sold for $712,500 while prices of houses in Beach Haven and Sunnynook headed towards $1 million.

In Remuera a four bedroom house with three attached two bedroom home units sold for $3.371 million.

In Christchurch, earthquake damaged properties offered for sale on an "as is" basis continue to sell well, with a three bedroom house in Woolston that had a declared reserve of $130,000 selling under the hammer for $180,000, while an earthquake damaged industrial unit on a 1587 square metre corner site in Hillsborough sold for $514,000.
