WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 is down -0.8% today, extending its decline over the past five trading days to -1.4%. The index remains marginally higher over the past month, up +0.2%, and has gained +1.1% over the past six months. The index is also +5.6% higher than it was a year ago. There were more decliners today, with 49 companies down compared to 30 gainers.
THE MAIN GAINERS
Among the gainers, Sky Network (SKT, #46) led the market, rising +6% today and extending its five-day gain to +15%. The company was also up +20% over the past month, +14% over six months and +21% year-on-year. Tourism Holdings (THL, #40) gained +2%, although it remained down -2% over five days and -3% over one month, while still sitting +12% higher over six months and +17% year-on-year. Scales Corp (SCL, #32) also rose +2%, taking its one-month, six-month and year-on-year gains to +9%, +16% and +41%, respectively, despite being down -1% over five days. Channel Infrastructure (CHI, #23) added +1%, leaving it up +4% over five days, +20% over six months and +45% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
On the downside, a2 Milk (ATM, #8) recorded the largest decline among the companies highlighted, falling -3% today and extending its five-day decline to -8%. The company was also down -3% over one month, -31% over six months and -26% year-on-year. Auckland International Airport (AIA, #4) dropped -3%, leaving it down -1% over five days, -3% over one month and -6% over six months, although it remained +14% higher year-on-year. Mainfreight (MFT, #7) declined -2%, taking its one-month decline to -4%, while it remained +4% higher over six months and +6% year-on-year. Chorus (CNU, #12) also fell -2%, leaving it down -3% over five days, -8% over one month, -7% over six months and -10% year-on-year.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Goodman NZ (GNZ, #16) has announced a first quarter FY27 cash dividend of $0.017925 per share for the year ending 31 March 2027, with no imputation credits attached. The record date is 10 September 2026, with payment scheduled for 17 September.
