Commercial properties in Auckland continue the trend of achieving much higher net rental yields for their owners than comparably priced residential properties.

Commercial properties recently sold by NAI Harcourts and Colliers International ranged in price from $530,000 to $1.875 million, and provided their new owners with net yields ranging from 5.67% to 9.75%.

Colliers sales included a  vacant 221 square metre office in the Rosedale Office Park at Albany (5c, 531 Rosedale Rd) on Auckland's North Shore which was sold for $815,000. The agents were Nick Recordon and Janet Marshall.

And Colliers syndication team of Charlie Oscroft and Tim Lichtenstein successfully sold down Oyster Group's syndication of a five level mixed use office and retail  building at 9 Corinthian Drive in Albany, which was providing investors with a forecast net cash return of 8.25%.

NAI Harcourts recent commercial sales included properties located from Auckland to Invercargill and were sold at prices ranging from $530,000 for a retail property in Christchurch to $1.875 million for 1331 square metre light industrial/office complex at Kumeu in north west Auckland. Net yields ranged from 5.67% to 9.74%.
