WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The index is down a minor -0.2% currently gaining +0.8% month-on-month. Annually it has gained +8.0%.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There were 35 gainers on the board today. Kathmandu Brands (KMD, #50) lifted +2%, although the stock remains down -7% over the past five days and -45% year-on-year. Investore Property Limited (IPL, #48) also gained +2%, down -6% over the past six months but broadly flat year-on-year, up +0.5%. Vista Group Limited (VGL, #45) added +2%, rising +4% month-on-month, though it remains down -53% year-on-year. Genesis Energy (GNE, #17) edged higher by +1%, down -8% month-on-month but up +0.5% on an annual basis.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
Meanwhile, 40 decliners weighed on the market. Mercury Energy (MCY, #6) and Serko (SKO, #49) both fell -2%. Mercury is down -7% over the past six months but remains up +12% year-on-year, while Serko has declined -11% for the month and -49% year-on-year. F&P Healthcare (FPH, #1) and EBOS Group (EBO, #11) each slipped -1%. F&P Healthcare is down -3% over the past five days but up +15% year-on-year, while EBOS is down -22% over the past six months and -40% year-on-year.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Argosy Property (ARG, #32) has advised that the strike price for its Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP), in respect of the dividend payable on 25 March 2026, has been set at $1.0969 per share.
Mercury NZ (MCY, #6) has officially opened a new 55MW generation unit at its Ngā Tamariki geothermal station near Taupō, marking a $220 million expansion that lifts total annual output to approximately 1120GWh. The project, completed in under two years, enhances baseload renewable capacity and supports New Zealand’s energy resilience, with geothermal generation providing consistent 24/7 supply. The expansion also includes additional geothermal wells and improved reinjection capability, targeting a 70% reduction in station emissions by 2030, and forms part of Mercury’s broader strategy to deliver 3.5TWh of new renewable generation by 2030.
