The cheapest house auctioned by Harcourts last week was in Tauranga but a Blenheim mortgagee sale was a close runner up

The highest price achieved for a home sold at auction by Harcourts last week was $2.15 million for a house in the Auckland suburb of Epsom.

There were only two Auckland homes that sold for less than $500,000 at Harcourts auctions last week: a home unit in Princes St, Otahuhu which went for $493,000 and another home unit - in New Lynn, which fetched $360,500.

Elsewhere in the city, a house in Mangere (pictured) sold for $695,000, one in Dannemora fetched $1.21 million and a three bedder in Glen Eden fetched $578,000.

In the Bay of Plenty prices ranged from $272,500 for a house in Judea to $1.11 million for one in Mt Maunganui.

In the South Island prices ranged from $286,000 for a three bedroom Blenheim house sold by mortgagee auction to $480,000 for a house at Spreydon in Christchurch.

Harcourts had a fair few more Auctions than that last week.

A 79m2 section on Colombo fetched $531,000 plus GST (about $6700/m2) making a mockery of some of the forcest blueprint buyout prices offered by the Crown.
