So, bank depositors should shift their deposits to buying the bank shares ? A different kind of run on the deposits ?

The returns are likely to be better that way...

They definitely are. But i suggest a lot of this will be spent through share buy backs, rather than dividends. I'd prefer the dividends.

Banks are going to become as about as relevant as NZ post in the next 2 decades actually.
