Tourism Holdings (THL, #45) has provided an update on North American cross-border tariffs, confirming that the Government of Canada has issued a Remission Order granting an indefinite and broad exemption on tariffs for recreational vehicles imported by THL from the USA. Additionally, an existing exemption for recreational vehicles exported from Canada to the USA remains in place. These developments allow THL to acquire and sell recreational vehicles across the USA-Canada border without incurring tariffs.
Summerset (SUM, #16) reports a record 402 sales of occupation rights for Q2 2025, comprising 222 new sales and 180 resales, marking its highest-ever quarter and bringing total 1H25 sales to 692—up 18% on 1H24. CEO Scott Scoullar attributes the strong performance to high demand and company-wide efforts, with nearly half of sales occurring outside Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. The company also saw a 6% decrease in uncontracted new stock and over 50% growth in contracted stock. Sales at the flagship St Johns village are progressing ahead of budget, with around 50% of apartments and 60% of care units either sold or occupied. Summerset remains on track to deliver 650–730 homes in FY25 and will report HY25 results on 28 August 2025.
