The NZD/USD opens at 0.7910 this morning, having seen a high of 0.7930 overnight.
Last night was punctuated by Chancellor Merkel saying to German law-makers that there would be no shared liability for sovereign debt in Europe during her lifetime, quote "as long as I live."
EURUSD has been the biggest loser on the night, dipping below 1.2500 to 1.2440, currently 1.2490.
Stock markets this morning: Dow Jones +0.26%, S&P +0.56%, FTSE -0.07%
The NZD opens the crosses - 0.7855 AUD, 0.6320 EUR, 0.5060 GBP and 62.85 JPY.
This morning we have NZ Trade Balance numbers due at 10.45am, market expecting a surplus of 305M.
